Job Duties and Responsibilities

The IT Manager, PMO (IT-PMO Retail Wireless) is responsible for providing the execution excellence and program governance for key IT projects supporting our retail wireless business. Reporting to the Senior IT Manager, PMO, this role will lead, coach, and mentor a team of Agile Technical Project Managers.

Acting as the key execution partner to the Technical Product Management team, this leader and their team are responsible for the successful delivery of EchoStar's Retail Wireless initiatives for brands like Boost Mobile and Gen Mobile. This role translates product roadmaps into a manageable, cross-functionally aligned delivery portfolio. This leader drives a culture of continuous improvement and Agile excellence to ensure the "how" and "when" of delivery are predictable, transparent, and aligned with strategic business objectives. This position is fully on-site at our Littleton, CO office.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, coach, and manage a team of Agile Technical Project Managers, promoting accountability and execution excellence

Collaborate with Technical Product Management to convert strategic roadmaps into detailed, actionable program plans

Drive program governance, project intake, and execution processes to enhance delivery velocity, transparency, and quality

Oversee portfolio-level risk and dependency management, providing clear impact assessments and mitigation plans to leadership

Own and communicate the integrated delivery schedule, ensuring stakeholder alignment on timelines, milestones, and resources

Deliver status reports and conduct post-deployment evaluations to track portfolio health, assess outcomes, and foster continuous improvement

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering, or a related field

A minimum of 7 years of Program Management experience, with a strong preference for experience in the delivery of IT Wireless or Telecommunication system solutions

A minimum of 3 years of experience successfully managing and developing a team of program or project managers

An advanced degree and/or PMP certification are preferred

Skills and Qualifications:

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with IT technical teams, business partners, and senior executives

Deep expertise in program management principles, Agile methodologies, and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

Proven experience in vendor management, including the development of Statements of Work (SOWs), RFPs, and contract negotiations

Strong capabilities in people management, strategic planning, risk management, and change management

Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Hive, Microsoft Project, and Google Workspace (GSuite)

Ability to consult, negotiate, and manage expectations with a diverse range of stakeholders in a complex, enterprise-level environment

Skilled in translating high-level strategic opportunities into tangible technical requirements and ensuring customer expectations are met throughout delivery

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $137,500.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
