£80-100k neg (DOE), bonus, car/allowance and excellent benefits package Our Client: Is an integrated design and build solution provider operating in the water sector. They have over 1,000 staff working across eight regional centres, primarily supporting six long term water sector frameworks operating both on their own and increasingly in joint ventures and alliances. The Role: Our Client is looking to strengthen their commercial team with a Commercial Manager or Director for their Thames Water framework. Based at either the Maple Lodge office or Beckton Site, you will be providing commercial support for a number of projects within your portfolio, working closely with the operational teams. They are delivering on behalf of Thames Water one of the largest and most varied water non-infrastructure improvement programmes in the UK. Responsibilities
Commercial management of the out performance of projects & tranches of projects. Commercial & contractual support to the procurement team. Provide input to continuous development of commercial strategy for pre-works orders & construction phase. Leading the commercial team in the tranche programme. Continuous review of commercial resource levels with the Programme Manager to ensure effective and efficient delivery. Advise the commercial team of commercial resourcing requirements. Support in recruiting of commercial resources. Support in providing contractual and commercial training to all staff in the framework. Support in review and continuous development of commercial processes and procedures. Undertake approvals to gates and other processes in accordance with the framework authority matrix. Experience
A comprehensive level of commercial experience preferably with a contracting organisation. BSc or HND in Quantity Surveying or other equivalent construction related subject. Professionally qualified to RICS, CMinstCES or several years’ experience in a management & leadership role. Preferably previous water/construction experience within a joint venture environment but this is not essential. Experienced user of Microsoft products, Excel in particular. Experience & Knowledge of IT reporting systems.
