They are seeking a Data & AI Product Manager responsible for identifying requirements and driving data product initiatives across insurance functions, while collaborating with stakeholders to maximize business value through AI and analytics solutions. Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain a comprehensive product backlog for data, analytics, and AI solutions across product, underwriting, claims, marketing, and customer experience functions. • Deeply investigate and define customer challenges, gathering insights to inform the strategic direction of Data & AI product development. • Use data analysis and customer research to prioritize product features and improvements, ensuring each roadmap decision aligns with customer needs and operational goals. • Drive seamless project execution through meticulous planning, clear communication, and proactive issue resolution, ensuring timely delivery of high-impact initiatives aligned with customer and business objectives. • Collaborate on developing efficient processes and playbooks that streamline problem discovery and roadmap planning to ensure high-quality, scalable deployments. • Apply Product thinking in building & translating business requirements into functional and technical needs, creating detailed user stories, epics, and data requirements documentation. • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with Product, Underwriting, Claims, Marketing, Customer Experience, Analytics, and AI teams to gather and prioritize data and AI-driven business requirements and act as a liaison to ensure understanding and alignment on priorities. • Partner with data science and analytics teams to define and implement AI and advanced analytics capabilities, including predictive modeling, machine learning, and customer insights. • Develop and communicate strategies for leveraging AI and analytics to optimize claims reserving, underwriting, marketing, and customer experience. • Identify opportunities for implementing AI models within the insurance value chain to drive efficiency, enhance risk assessment, and improve customer engagement. • Lead agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives, to drive alignment and progress within data and AI teams. • Coordinate with claims reserving, marketing, and customer care stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of AI-driven data solutions. • Define and validate user stories, specifications, and acceptance criteria for data and AI products to ensure they meet functional and business requirements. • Collaborate with data engineering and testing teams to verify quality standards and address any functional gaps. • Participate in test case reviews to confirm that designs meet specifications and operational requirements. • Support the broader analytics and AI strategy by identifying opportunities to integrate machine learning, natural language processing, and predictive analytics into existing data products. • Maintain awareness of industry trends and innovations in AI and analytics, identifying relevant opportunities to enhance capabilities. • Serve as the data product expert, training stakeholders on data and AI product functionalities in claims, marketing, customer care, and underwriting. • Collect and analyze feedback on AI-driven and data products to inform continuous improvement and future roadmap development. • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with PEMCO's policies, values, code of ethics and business conduct. • Authentically support the PEMCO Brand and constantly are on the lookout for top talent to join us to achieve our Mission to Worry Less and Live More. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Required: • BS or other professional degree, or equivalent work experience. • 10+ years in Data Product Ownership, Product Management, or similar role, with experience in analytics and AI in insurance or financial services, including experience in data engineering, analytics, and AI concepts, particularly as they relate to underwriting, claims reserving, customer insights, and marketing optimization. • Proven track record managing end-to-end product development and delivery of data and AI solutions, ideally within an insurance setting. • Proficiency in data and analytics platforms, including data lakes, warehouses, SQL, and AI/ML tools like Python, TensorFlow, or R. • Skilled with cloud environments (preferably GCP, AWS, or Azure) and Agile project management tools like JIRA or Confluence. • Communicator: Communicates clearly and informatively, verbally and in writing, with colleagues, customers, and the community in both technical and non-technical professional language. • Business Environment: Has a thorough understanding of our industry, the relevant business landscape, and trends in growth and insurance environments; can spot early indicators of change and apply strategies to adapt quickly. • Independent: Is highly self-motivated and directed. Demonstrates the ability to work with limited direction, communicates relevant information to the appropriate levels during times of uncertainty. • Project Management: Has a proven track record of driving and motivating cross-functional team members to successfully implement technology or business projects. • Analytical and data-driven: Thinks analytically – a structured thinker who can put complex ideas into clear frameworks; uses data to conduct root cause analysis and develops high quality, consumable, and consistent metrics that drive strategic objectives and priorities. • Team Player: Is responsive, flexible, and able to succeed in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, building effective working relations and partnerships with internal partners, customers, and vendors. Preferred: • Experience with product thinking and product mindset in deploying Data & AI products is preferred.
