Job Description Inspects and validates in-process manufacturing of thread protectors by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measuring tests, communicating required adjustments to production supervisor. Plan, organize and carry out inspection of items / material received from the suppliers and in house machining. Record the result of inspection in report format. Record "Hold" notices, if any and follow up the actions.
Job Functions:
• Inspect and reports anomalies per product S/I's and product drawing along with verifying production raw materials • Verify product labels and quantities • Identify and create (via Hold Notice) non-conforming products. • Enter (Scan) production into ERP System. • Enter (Scan) scrap product into ERP System. • Maintains a safe and clean work environment per policy or as assigned. • Accurately and timely completion of required documentation. • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor or designee • Test and inspect multiple parts in a timely manner • Communicate quality discrepancies in a timely manner to production Supervisor or designee • Responsible for Press Line Inspections • Support Lab area inspector by reporting new parts coming off press (first good shots) • Work closely with material handlers to ensure a safe walking path, minimize materials obstructing traffic (pallets, and or boxes) • Communicate with colleagues or peers via emails using Microsoft Office • Keep track of inventory on press lines and pre-stage areas
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Education and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent is required. A minimum of 1-2 years quality or manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to use measuring instruments including but not limited to calipers, torque wrench, gauges, and other hand tools. Basic understanding of raw material product specifications. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. Basic knowledge of ERP Software and or entry level of Microsoft Office Teamwork is necessary and flexibility to work over-time as needed. Clear and concise communicator (written and verbal).
