Information System Security Officer (ISSO)
to support a Philadelphia-area Department of Defense (DoD) client. Salary is commensurate with experience. *** Position is onsite in the greater Philadelphia, PA area. Local candidates only please.
Established in 2002, The Marlin Alliance is seeking to hire highly skilled individuals to support mission critical projects within the Navy. We are looking for motivated individuals to lead and support digital transformation, data science and analytics, and automation projects for variety of Navy clients. Individuals must be able to function in a fast-paced work environment and able to adapt quickly to rapidly changing requirements and technologies. Using your comprehensive knowledge of various technologies, you will design, develop, and implement solutions to support Navy mission owners in their digital transformation journey.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Configure vulnerability scanning tools and conduct scanning activities Recommend prioritization of remediation efforts; correlate vulnerabilities Conduct technical vulnerability assessments and recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures Analyze vulnerability remediation efforts and identify gaps and/or failures Assist with patching activities related to automated failures Implement automated risk assessments and scoring capabilities Analyze threat information, and assess potential systems impact Prepare and distribute technical vulnerability analyses Identify and recommend IT security implications of new technologies Monitor IT security tools and perform event correlation across data sets; identify anomalies and recommend appropriate countermeasures Operate and test the installed suite of CDM sensors; document state of functions, findings, and any gaps that should be addressed Monitor system configuration settings to provide detection of non-compliance issues Install, configure, and maintain CDM dashboards Develop policies, procedures, guidance, and instructional material Provide additional risk management duties/responsibilities to support the implementation of CDM initiatives and a comprehensive ISCM program Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, communications systems management, or an equivalent science, technology, engineering & mathematics (STEM) degree from an accredited college or university Six (6) years of experience coordinating and enacting required security changes, within various levels of an organization, ensuring compliance with published policies; conducting cybersecurity vulnerability and threat analysis; and support cyber incident-response by isolating potentially effected assets, initial investigation and data collection, through status updates/reporting. Candidate must hold a government Secret security clearance
Job Classification: Associate II $100,000 - $160,000
