The Human Resources Coordinator assists the Human Resources department and company employees in the areas of payroll, benefits, and new employee orientation.
New Employee Orientation
• Works with new employees to obtain paperwork required to begin employment such as I9 forms and policies and procedures
• Answers basic questions regarding company information related to on-boarding
Payroll
Processes day to day payroll transactions including new hires, terms, garnishments, tax levies, employment changes, timecard edits, etc.
Handles attestations, make up time and meal penalties
Audits and identifies employees non-compliant with meal and rest periods regulations
Processes payroll according to established procedures
Supports the HR Generalists with the resolution of pay issues
Creates HR related report for various departments and management
Works in conjunction with the Payroll and Benefits Manager to administer the Human Resources Information System
Processes manual checks
Handles EDD Wage Audits and verifications of employment
Department Administration
• Manages employee files and administers off-site storage of employee records
• Compiles new employee orientation packets
• Maintains certain aspects of the HRIS system related to employee classifications, documents, and on-boarding/termination
• Compiles company organization charts
• Conducts candidate reference checks
• Coordinates the placement and release of agency temporary employees
• Extracts employee data from the HRIS and compiles reports in response to special requests from leadership and Finance/Accounting
Employee Events
• Develops and coordinates employee events
• Develops and administers department and employee competitions
Front Desk Support
• Provides back up support for the front desk HR Assistant.
• Delegates and oversees various administrative HR projects to the HR Assistant
This position will perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the department.

Understanding of basic human resource related laws and regulations Understanding of basic wage and hour laws Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills Basic proficiency with Visio Excellent verbal and written communication skills Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Minimum of one year related experience
Salary range: $22.90 - $28.62
