Abby's Catering has been providing one-of-a-kind culinary and hospitality experience since opening in 1980. Our customers are high profile passengers visiting or residing in Houston. Celebrities, government officials, head of states, secretaries, industry leaders, all traveling out of Houston and Dallas aboard private, corporate, and commercial aircraft are part of Abby's valued circle of customers. Abby's also provides exclusive gourmet delights for corporate offices, private and corporate events as well as food service management contracts within the Houston and Dallas metro areas.
Our Catering Attendant is responsible for checking their assigned rooms and ensuring the set-up is accurate and delivered on time. Catering Attendants are expected to make sure all equipment and supplies are in good working condition for the event, as well has stocked in the proper areas. Our Attendants are to maintain a clean and sanitary working area throughout the remainder of the day. Abby's Catering Attendants must always set themselves up for success for the following day by prepping all next day rooms, carts, and applicable food items.

Requirements, but not limited to:
This position is a part time position, with 20 weekly hours minimum but can be at times, up to 40 hours, with Overtime when needed. Monday - Thursday, 6 AM - 2:30 PM, and possible Fridays as well. There will be days that require to work into the evening for special events. All schedules will change based on the volume of business. These attendance days and times may change during this food service management contract. A valid food handler certificate is a prerequisite
Essential functions:
• Restock/move delivery items from main kitchen.
• Set up breakfast and lunch orders at designated delivery time.
• Remove all food and set ups at designated cleanup time.
• Prepare all carts and rooms for next day orders.
• Keep beverage & storage rooms, clean and organized.
• Follow SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for accuracy of event for all items that are being delivered.
• Attend daily BEO meetings with Catering Coordinator
• Clean and polish all chafing dishes and return to storage room
• Assist the culinary team with minimal preparations-i.e. tray up cookies, assembly of box lunches, etc.
Requirements
Qualifications
Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in either catering service or as a food establishment server.
• Eligible to work within the USA
• Holding a valid food handler certificate
• Have reliable transportation to arrive on time at location
• Highly Customer service oriented
• English speaking
• Reliable character-works well with others, takes direction from supervisor well, asks questions for complete clarity
• High sense of urgency, and can multitask when needed
