Leidos . Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to work onsite at our Vista, CA facility. This individual will support IT issues and software development as part of the Engineering team. The Cybersecurity Engineer will develop and maintain security systems within the aviation division, interacting with various engineering teams to ensure systems meet customer requirements. The role focuses on proactively hardening systems, implementing secure baselines, and troubleshooting IT Systems Administration issues. Primary Responsibilities
Integrate security requirements into IT systems, including system hardening, compliance, and vulnerability assessments Manage servers, switches, and networks across hardware, software, and virtualization platforms (Windows, Linux, Hyper-V, VMWare) Influence solution design and process improvements with team leaders and CIO Assist in infrastructure administration, including hardware setup, updates, and virtual appliances Research and evaluate cybersecurity tools and methodologies to automate and document best practices Required Qualifications
4+ years of relevant experience; engineering operations experience preferred Experience with Windows 10, Linux, Windows Server, networking, virtualization, and troubleshooting Active DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification or ability to obtain within 6 months Preferred Qualifications
Network troubleshooting skills across OSI layers Familiarity with Windows and Linux OS, ELK Stack, Splunk, Docker, Kubernetes, DISA STIGs, CIS Benchmarks Salary Range: $85,150 - $153,925 annually.
