Christian.ramirez@forsythbarnes.com **This is a full-time position, not eligible for C2C or C2H, sorry!!** We have partnered with a global business that is looking to hire a Senior Platform Engineer for their Research & Development team where you will be part of a team that explored new opportunities with emerging technologies that will impact the industry. Key Responsibilities: Research, evaluate, and build first- or third-party tools to enable broader and more effective use of LLMs by product engineering teams. Support and improve LLM-powered applications to achieve desired outcomes and enhance performance. Define and apply best practices for evaluation and monitoring of LLM applications across the organization. Lead technical aspects of projects, including maintenance planning and cross-functional collaboration with product and editorial teams. Integrate stakeholder feedback and ensure all work aligns with journalistic standards and The Times' mission. Qualifications: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in collaborative, team-based environments. Proven ability to design, build, and deploy LLM-based applications, from prototype to production. Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Step Functions, Dagster), LLM performance tuning, and evaluation strategies. Skilled in building and operating scalable, distributed systems in GCP and/or AWS, with a strong focus on reusable tools and developer platforms.
