Performs nursing functions and consumer care at a Facility Based Crisis Center including assessment, care, and treatment of clients at the facility; must adhere to standards of care as defined by the Nurse Practice Act and RHA. This position relies on knowledge, experience, and judgment with limited supervision and direction to provide quality services to crisis facility clients.The Facility Based Crisis (FBC) Center is a community-based facility that serves as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization when appropriate. The FBC is a 16-bed facility operating 24/7/365 for adults aged 18 and over experiencing behavioral, emotional, psychological, detox, or other acute crisis stabilization needs. The FBC provides short-term intensive evaluation, treatment intervention or behavioral management to stabilize acute or crisis situations: Assessment and evaluationIntensive treatment and stabilizationLinkage to services that will provide further treatment or rehabilitation upon release.The FBC Nur is a member of a team that provides support, services, and treatments necessary to provide integrated care to individuals with behavioral health diagnosis or substance use disorders. Provides oversight and general nursing care and services to persons in a facility-based crisis/non-hospital detox setting. All patients are able to perform their own ADL's. No physical or chemical restraints. Average length of stay of patients is 5 -7 days. Pay: $27 per hourSchedule: Nights, 8-12 hours shifts / PRN*Must be willing to work every other weekendShift Differential Available:10% Weekday Nights10% Weekend Days15% Weekend Nights Job ResponsibilitiesPerforming Nursing assessments and interventions with medications oversight and administration as needed.Reporting client's social, psychological and physical behavior as indicatedImplementing and ensuring compliance with standards of nursing practice that promote optimal health care delivery and meet regulatory requirementsImplementing policies and procedures to ensure organizational compliance with Confidentiality regulations, HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), national accreditation agency and Continuous Quality Improvement, attending applicable meetings as necessaryUsing state guidelines, Quality Assurance Plan and Client Rights Policy, ensuring that clinical operations comply with state regulations and update plans and policies as necessarySupervisory responsibilities include interviewing, making recommendations for hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding, motivating, disciplining and promoting team performance; addressing complaints and resolving problemsRequirementActive and current LPN Licensure in state of employment2 years' experience as a nurse working with behavioral health clients, preferredWorking knowledge of psychoactive substance abuse, dependency and the principles and techniques based on best practices, commitment to the use of evidence based treatment and preventative methodsValid driver's license and automotive insurance requiredPre-employment screening:Complete criminal backgroundName checked in the registries.
