Field Service Engineer

with

Multi Modality (NucMed, PET, CT, MR)

experience based in Seattle, WA. Reporting to the Area Service Manager, the FSE performs installation, repair, maintenance, and calibration of diagnostic imaging devices. The role involves quality assurance testing, training medical staff, and traveling to regional customer sites. This is a home office-based position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair imaging equipment using electronic tests and measurement tools. Coordinate installations, repairs, preventive maintenance, and customer training. Perform scheduled maintenance and calibrations per manufacturer and industry standards. Train clinical staff on equipment use and provide operational advice. Maintain detailed records of all service activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Respond to support calls, schedule service visits, and complete service reports. Order repair parts, track inventory, and maintain shipping records. Update team members on customer issues and resolutions. Assist in contract retention and revenue growth. Follow escalation procedures and participate in ongoing professional development. Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts. Requirements Qualifications Minimum 5 years experience servicing Multi Modality imaging equipment (NucMed, PET, CT, MRI). Background in mechanical, electronic, or electrical work in field service or hospital settings. Proficiency diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electronic systems. Strong computer skills, including MS Office and network technology. Experience interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Ability to meet customer entry requirements, including background checks and immunizations. Preferred Education & Experience High school diploma or higher; degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, or related field preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies Knowledge of diagnostic imaging devices. Problem-solving, analytical thinking, and independent work skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Mechanical aptitude and resourcefulness. Strong time management and adaptability. Travel Requirements Up to 80% travel, valid driver’s license, and ability to operate a vehicle. The salary range is approximately $90,000 - $130,000, depending on experience and location. Work Environment The role involves sitting for extended periods, traveling, and physical activity such as lifting up to 100 lbs. Reasonable accommodations are available for qualified individuals.
