Schedule: 10 or 12 hour shifts (days, evenings, or nights) 7 days/week Job specific duties include: Provide a full range of EMT services within the MTF and supported geographical area. Maintain proficiency in the operation of the ambulance radio equipment. Monitor and operate ambulance radio equipment as required by the circumstances. Provide the patient with the necessary and appropriate medical care, consistent with ambulance equipment and supplies, and personnel certification, training, and experience during transport. Control and properly dispose of all medical waste incurred during transport. Conduct routine restocking, cleaning, and disinfection of the vehicle, equipment, and supplies. Ensure the ambulances are safe to operate, sanitary, and properly functioning. Document all treatment provided to the patient during the patient transport. Rapidly stabilizing the patient, according to Advance Life Support (ALS) protocol and EMS written protocols. Lift, place, and deliver patients to the receiving destinations for medical care. Place patients on monitors, administer needles, IVs, oxygen, or dressings. Carry patient records or baggage/belongings to the destination for patient care. Redress patient's wounds. EMT-P will provide support during intentional detonation operations involving high explosive munitions IAW AFMAN 32-3001. EMT-P must be able to travel to support Northern Range Operations (TTR-CA). Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Education: Certificate. Graduate from an accredited NREMT program. License/Certification and Training: Possess and maintain certification as an NREMT-P or National Registered Paramedic (NRP) from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT). Must possess a current ambulance driver's license and BLS/ALS/PALS required. Experience: One year of experience as an EMT, NREMT, NRAEMT or NRP after graduation.
