Quality Assurance Team Manager

with expertise in managing QA processes for

manufacturing software

or

supply chain management software . The ideal candidate will combine technical skills in automated testing, leadership capabilities, and deep domain knowledge to drive high-quality software delivery. This role requires hands-on management of a team, development of robust testing strategies, and integration of automated testing frameworks, ensuring the reliability and scalability of software solutions. Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance Leadership: Lead and manage the QA team, ensuring alignment with business goals and project timelines. Own and develop the QA strategy, including manual and automated testing frameworks tailored to manufacturing and supply chain applications. Drive the adoption of best practices for testing methodologies, tools, and documentation across all projects. 2. Team Management & Mentorship: Supervise QA team performance and provide mentorship to ensure team members excel in their roles. Build and maintain a collaborative, results-driven team culture. Identify training needs and promote the professional development of team members. 3. Automated Testing Integration: Design and implement robust automated testing scripts and frameworks capable of validating complex workflows in manufacturing and supply chain systems. Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to integrate automated testing into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Maintain and advance automation coverage for both front-end and back-end systems to minimize manual testing overhead. 4.

Collaborative Project Contribution: Work closely with development teams, product managers, and business analysts to define testable requirements and acceptance criteria. Provide timely feedback to developers based on testing outcomes, ensuring defects are resolved before production releases. Coordinate discussions with cross-functional teams to maintain alignment on quality goals and deliverables. 5. Performance & Compliance Monitoring: Establish performance benchmarks for QA processes, ensuring scalability and efficiency in testing workflows. Ensure QA practices adhere to regulatory and compliance standards relevant to manufacturing and supply chain software, such as

GDPR ,

ISO 27001 , and federal export regulations. Regularly audit software quality metrics and reporting to identify trends and potential areas of improvement. 6.

Innovation and Process Improvement: Continually evolve QA strategies to address emerging challenges in manufacturing and supply chain software. Stay updated on new testing tools and technologies, integrating relevant ones to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Advocate for the use of AI-powered testing tools and frameworks to enhance automation and accuracy. Work Experience Requirements: Background & Experience: A minimum of

10 years

of experience in software quality assurance with at least 2+ years in a team management or leadership role. Strong understanding of QA processes and testing strategies for

manufacturing

and/or

supply chain management software . Proven experience implementing and managing

automated testing frameworks

for large-scale platforms. Technical Skills: Expertise in automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, TestNG, or similar). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing into DevOps workflows. Solid understanding of system integration testing for ERP, WMS, and MES applications. Experience with performance testing tools and methodologies to validate software scalability. Compliance and Regulatory Skills: Knowledge of regulatory frameworks including

GDPR ,

ISO 27001 , and federal export regulations. Ability to design QA processes that meet compliance requirements for manufacturing and supply chain systems. Leadership & Collaboration Skills: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple QA projects simultaneously. Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting quality metrics to stakeholders. A systematic and analytical approach to problem-solving that ensures high standards of quality. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field. Certifications in quality assurance or testing practices (e.g., ISTQB or Six Sigma). Background in managing QA processes for cloud-based applications or data center environments. Experience with advanced testing methodologies, including AI/ML-powered testing and data-driven testing.
