Tax Manager
to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional looking to take the next step in their career within a collaborative, people-first culture. The firm serves a diverse client base across industries including real estate, professional services, technology, and high-net-worth individuals. The ideal candidate has a strong background in public accounting, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about mentoring and leading a team. Flexibility for hybrid or remote work is available for California-based candidates. Key Responsibilities: Manage and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts Research and resolve complex tax issues while providing proactive tax planning strategies Maintain and strengthen client relationships through ongoing communication and exceptional service Supervise, train, and mentor junior staff and senior accountants Monitor engagement budgets and deadlines, ensuring timely and accurate delivery Stay current with tax legislation and compliance regulations affecting clients Assist with internal process improvements and firm-wide initiatives Qualifications: CPA license required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s in Taxation a plus Minimum of 5 years of recent public accounting experience Strong technical tax knowledge and familiarity with California tax law Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills Experience managing staff and client engagements Proficient in tax software (e.g., ProSystem fx, Lacerte, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite Competitive base salary + performance-based bonuses Flexible hybrid/remote work options (California residents only) Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with firm contribution Generous PTO and paid holidays Paid continuing education and CPA licensing support Clear path for advancement and career growth Seniority level
