Essential Job Functions: Transport good from Nicholasville plant to Danville warehouse Follow all DOT regulations and rules Load and unload trucks in a safe efficient manner including opening the door of the trailer tractor, securing the tractor trailer without dock locks Preparing releases to ship including pulling orders, loading truck, wrapping loads and inspecting Finished Goods Load/Trailer Inspection Deliver received product from tractor trailers and box cards to its appropriate destination- this includes returned goods, packages, and product Inspect all rolls and complete any damaged inspections/reports Produce barcodes for labeling proposes and keep accurate records Provide a clean/safe working environment to themselves and employees in their work area Perform preventive maintenance and upkeep on truck and equipment, as well as any pre-shift inspections Keep department in specs within all 5S requirements Work in a fast-paced environment. Can complete tasks in timely manner to product flowing through the plant Assess upset conditions and react in a safe and appropriate way to correct condition Report any issue or event that poses a risk to employee safety, the environment and facilities, or food packaging safety and quality Follow all applicable policies, procedures, and instructions to the best of your ability Participate in continuous improvement activities, corrective actions, and training Safely operate Motorized Pallet Jacks, Manual Pallet Jacks, and any other equipment trained and certified on Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma or GED Previous Fork Truck Experience Preferred Class A CDL license required Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.
