Job Duties
Hybrid remote work.
We are currently seeking an Appellate Attorney in any of our offices:
Washington DC Virginia – Roanoke, Virginia Beach, Richmond, Fairfax Maryland – Rockville, Baltimore, Easton New York – Manhattan, Long Island New Jersey – Parsippany, Cherry Hill Pennsylvania - Philadelphia Connecticut - Hartford Massachusetts - Boston Rhode Island Tennessee - Nashville West Virginia
The ideal candidate will have recent experience handling appeals in state and/or federal courts, with a strong background in legal writing, oral argument, and strategic case evaluation.
Handle appeals from inception through resolution, including briefing and oral argument. Analyze trial records and legal issues to assess appeal viability. Draft persuasive appellate briefs, motions, writs, and related pleadings. Argue cases before appellate courts and provide strategic input on appellate strategy. Consult with trial teams to preserve appellate issues and ensure proper record development.
