Role Description This is a full-time on-site role as a HUD-Certified Housing Counselor located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The role involves working one-on-one with clients to provide housing counseling, develop personalized financial strategies, and offer budgeting tips. Daily tasks include conducting thorough assessments of clients' financial situations, providing guidance on home ownership, rental options, and foreclosure prevention, and facilitating workshops and educational sessions. The HUD-Certified Housing Counselor will also be responsible for maintaining accurate client records and staying updated on housing market trends and federal/state housing regulations.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of housing counseling, including home ownership, rental options, and foreclosure prevention Experience in financial assessment and developing personalized financial strategies Excellent communication and client relationship-building skills Ability to facilitate educational workshops and sessions Proficiency in maintaining accurate client records and documentation Knowledge of federal and state housing regulations and market trends Bachelor's degree in Finance, Counseling, or a related field is beneficial HUD Certification is mandatory Experience in credit counseling is a plus Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team
