Direct message the job poster from Partners Vice President, Asset Management - Hospitality | Houston, TX Partners Capital, the investment and development arm of Partners Real Estate, is seeking a highly strategic and analytically driven Vice President of Asset Management to oversee a portfolio of extended stay hospitality assets across the U.S. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in both hotel operations and real estate, with a focus on the extended-stay segment. This individual will be responsible for maximizing asset value, managing operator relationships, executing business plans, and identifying opportunities to drive NOI and long-term asset performance. What You’ll Do Serve as the primary asset manager for a portfolio of extended stay hotels Develop and implement asset-level business plans and strategies to optimize cash flow, NOI, and asset value Monitor operational performance against pro formas, budgets, and competitive set Lead regular performance reviews with hotel operators and brand partners Analyze management reports and challenge operators on underperformance or operational inefficiencies Negotiate and monitor compliance with management, franchise, and vendor agreements Review and analyze monthly P&Ls, STR reports, labor models, and capital expenditures Conduct hold/sell analyses and support disposition or recapitalization strategies Underwrite capital investments, ROI opportunities, and asset repositioning initiatives Assist with below-the-line P&L items such as property taxes and insurance Assist with capital budgeting and project execution, including renovations, PIPs, and ROI-driven upgrades Work closely with design, construction, and third-party consultants as needed Prepare internal and external reporting materials Collaborate cross-functionally with deals, finance, legal, and investor relations teams Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership and ownership groups What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant graduate degree strongly preferred 7+ years of asset management experience, with a minimum of 3–5 years focused on extended stay or select-service hospitality Proven track record of improving asset performance across geographically diverse portfolios Strong understanding of hotel operations, franchise agreements, management contracts, and financial reporting Excellent Excel modeling, analytical, and presentation skills High degree of initiative, accountability, and ability to work independently Willingness to travel as needed Preferred Experience Experience managing portfolios with brands such as Hilton Garden Inn, Courtyard Marriott, Residence Inn, Homewood Suites, Candlewood Suites, WoodSpring Suites, or Extended Stay America Background in both institutional real estate and hospitality operations Familiarity with Argus, STR, HotStats, and relevant hotel performance platforms Why Partners At Partners, we’re in an exciting period of growth and transformation—and we invite you to play a pivotal role in our continued success.
