He/she is responsible for the employment of qualified hospice personnel; is responsible for the provision of hospice services, directly, and the delegation to and coordination of hospice personnel evaluations; is responsible for establishing standards of care to comply with federal and state regulations and guidelines. The Senior Director of Operations and Development-Emory establishes, implements, and evaluates goals and objectives for hospice services that meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the total organization and philosophy. Additionally, responsible for successfully selling Affinity Hospice service in a defined geographic territory and developing and implementing a comprehensive external and internal sales and marketing plan. Works collaboratively and directly with area, regional and corporate leaders to realize goals, specifically related to operations, development, and quality clinical service delivery. Hours / Schedule:
Full-Time Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent. Master’s degree is preferred. At least (3) three years' experience in health care management A licensed nurse with an active and unencumbered license is preferred. Key Responsibilities: Operational planning and budgeting. Ensure organizational compliance with legal, regulatory and accreditation requirements. Assure that all business conduct is above the minimum standards required by law and will not condone any activities that achieve results through violation of the law, unethical business or patient care practices. Monitor business operations to ensure financial stability. Evaluate hospice services and personnel using measurable outcomes and objectives. Conflict and complaint management and resolution. Establish and maintain effective channels of communication including integration or technology, as applicable. Ensure hospice personnel stay current with clinical information and practices. Ensure adequate and appropriate staffing. Staff development including orientation, in-service, continuing education, competency testing and quality assessment performance improvement. Ensure that interdisciplinary care is provided. Ensure supportive services are available to personnel. Ensure coordination with other departments, services and senior management, as appropriate. Ensure staff and organization stay current on local and national hospice issues and trends. Ensure that appropriate service policies and procedures are developed and implemented to accomplish identified outcomes. Affinity Hospice is an equal opportunity employer.
