SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER
Project Management Department
Job Summary
The
Senior Program Manager
is energetic and committed to holistically managing not only a multitude of projects but brands as well. This person is responsible for managing the creation of project plans that drive both traditional and digital projects from conception through to implementation. The Senior Program Manager is the problem-solving partner for all cross-functional leads for everything logistical, leading the agency team to meet its deliverables with both decisiveness and confidence. They play an important proactive role in helping to identify and manage project risks and is accountable for ensuring that their team is successfully managing multichannel deliverables that are on time, on budget, and on strategy.
The Senior Program Manager is responsible for assuring that their direct reports are supported and supervised appropriately. This includes, but is not limited to, validating schedules, digital statements of work, timelines, and asset allocation, as well as discussing approaches to derive solutions. They ensure that monthly top-line reports from operational staff are delivered in a timely fashion and that operational staffing is appropriate for forecasted workflows for their brands.
The Senior Program Manager is also responsible for the day-to-day management and professional development of their direct reports. They schedule regular touch points with their assigned staff and are available to handle conflict resolution.
Key Job Responsibilities

PM Methodology / Internal Process: Develops, manages, and supports client relationships with key accounts as assigned; identifies value-added opportunities to strengthen client/agency partnerships Acts as the owner of Calcium+Company process; ensures the team adheres to the proper process Partners with cross-functional leads to continually evaluate the brand process and procedures to ensure efficiencies are being identified and implemented
Project Finances:
Partners with internal stakeholders in the development of yearly statements of work (SOWs) Tracks and manages timelines and budgets for multiple projects; helps to forecast monthly and yearly project spends Manages costs and timelines across a portfolio of projects Is accountable for project-level forecasts for scoped projects Acts as a key stakeholder and leader in assuring that weekly internal brand financial meetings are taking place; works in tandem with Financial and Account Services counterparts to make sure that tactics are being managed within approved estimates Work to ensure that direct reports are managing and leading in the same way across the brands they service Together with the Associate Director and Director of Project Management, ensures that Project Managers and Senior Project Managers are managing budgets, bringing innovative solutions to their creative teams, and exploring tools to help their teams function more efficiently
Resource Allocation:
Partners with the Associate Director and/or Director of Project Management to continually assess and ensure that operational resources are deployed and leveraged to meet brand needs (ie, balanced workloads, talent to task) Actively manages resource allocation with internal teams by identifying resource gaps and working to proactively fill with internal resources and/or resources to be identified
Internal Relationships and Team Leadership: Managerial Skills:
Acts as a conduit for a productive culture and drives a positive team morale Manages the work and performance of direct reports; serves as mentor and coach Authors and delivers reviews of Project Managers and Senior Project Managers while helping develop appropriate and specific goals Maintains constant contact with the internal team, fulfilling requests as needed, and ensure Calcium+Company is proactively demonstrating the value of our partnerships by aligning operationally to support client goals and objectives
Job Qualifications
(Skills/Requirements)
Bachelor's degree required 5-7 years of experience in the advertising industry (pharmaceutical preferred) Must have supervisory experience Possesses excellent leadership and communication skills Product launch, med/legal, and FDA 2253/OPDP submission experience Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint; Acrobat Professional; web-based routing and project management system administration Can mindfully manage deadlines, multiple tasks, and challenges Willingness to go beyond what is described in the job description and be flexible for the team, and ultimately, the work About Calcium+Company
