Jobright.ai Atlas Tech is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Data Scientist to join their growing team. This role involves leading the design and implementation of scalable machine learning models and data pipelines, utilizing modern big data tools and cloud-based technologies to deliver strategic insights and optimize performance across the organization. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with stakeholders, data architects, and engineers to understand business objectives and identify opportunities for data science solutions. • Design and develop machine learning models and statistical algorithms that support predictive analytics and operational decision-making. • Build and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines using big data tools like Spark and Hadoop to process data at scale. • Manage large datasets using modern data lake platforms such as Amazon S3, Databricks, and Snowflake. • Extract, clean, and transform data from relational and non-relational sources including PostgreSQL and SQL Server. • Develop automated workflows and integrate MLOps tools such as MLFlow for tracking, versioning, and deployment of models. • Leverage Jupyter Notebooks for data exploration, analysis, and cross-team collaboration. • Apply advanced deep learning techniques using frameworks such as FastAI to address complex problems. • Program robust and efficient solutions using Python, R, SQL, Scala, or Java, and support additional scripting in languages such as Go or RUST when needed. • Conduct statistical testing and hypothesis validation to uncover actionable insights and improve model accuracy. • Create dynamic dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or Python visualization libraries to communicate findings effectively. • Stay current with emerging tools, techniques, and trends in data science, cloud technologies, and machine learning. Qualifications: Required: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline. • 5 years or more experience in data science, analytics, or a similar role with a strong record of delivering business impact through data. • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, Scala, or Java. • Proven experience with big data frameworks and tools including Apache Spark, Hadoop, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server. • Hands-on experience with cloud-based data lake platforms such as Amazon S3, Databricks, and Snowflake. • Familiarity with ML Flow, Jupyter Notebooks, and deep learning frameworks including Fast AI. • Practical experience building, validating, and deploying machine learning models in production environments. • Knowledge of scripting languages like Go or RUST for performance-critical applications. • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). • Expertise in visualizing data insights using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Python libraries such as Plotly and Matplotlib. Preferred: • Experience leading data science projects from inception through deployment. • A strong understanding of ML Ops and automation pipelines for scalable ML delivery. • Familiarity with model governance, performance monitoring, and optimization in live environments. • Background working on data migration or enterprise-scale data integration efforts in the public or private sector.
