Microsoft Security aspires to make the world a safer place for all. We want to reshape security and empower every user, customer, and developer with a security cloud that protects them with end to end, simplified solutions. The Microsoft Security organization accelerates Microsoft’s mission and bold ambitions to ensure that our company and industry is securing digital technology platforms, devices, and clouds in our customers’ heterogeneous environments, as well as ensuring the security of our own internal estate. In doing so, we create life-changing innovations that impact billions of lives around the world.

Microsoft Security is on a mission to make the world a safer place. As digital threats grow in scale and sophistication, our customers face increasing pressure to protect their data, users, and infrastructure. Microsoft Security delivers comprehensive, integrated solutions that help organizations defend against evolving threats, meet regulatory requirements, and operate securely across hybrid and multicloud environments. As part of this mission, the Identity division is redefining how identity is used to secure access in a cloud-first, mobile-first world. Identity is the control plane that connects people, applications, and data—and it is central to any modern security strategy. Our identity platform provides secure access for everyone and everything, helping organizations protect what matters most. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team building the authentication libraries that power secure access for Microsoft applications—including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and Authenticator—as well as thousands of third-party apps. These libraries are foundational to Microsoft’s identity platform and are used by millions of developers and end users worldwide. In this role, you will design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance authentication components that enable seamless single sign-on (SSO) and access to cloud resources. You will work closely with product managers, security experts, and engineering teams across Microsoft to ensure our solutions meet the highest standards of security, reliability, and usability. This is a unique opportunity to work on highly visible, security-critical projects that directly impact Microsoft’s core businesses and customer trust. You will gain deep expertise in authentication protocols, secure API design, telemetry, and threat mitigation—while helping shape the future of identity and access management.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
