We are a full-service Asian grocery supermarket offering a wide range of fresh produce, meat & seafood, dry goods, and ready-to-eat meals. Our mission is to serve the community with authentic products, friendly service, and a clean, well-organized shopping environment. We are looking for an experienced and energetic General Manager to oversee daily operations and assist store manager to lead our team to excellence. Job Summary: The Store Manager is responsible for managing overall store performance including sales, customer service, staffing, inventory control, merchandising, and compliance. The ideal candidate has prior experience in high-volume grocery or retail management—especially within Asian supermarkets—and can lead by example in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and motivate department managers and staff across all store sections (produce, meat, seafood, grocery, hot food, cashier, etc.) Ensure outstanding customer service, product availability, cleanliness, and store presentation Plan and manage staff schedules and payroll efficiently Monitor and control inventory, shrink, and ordering to ensure proper stock levels and minimal waste Analyze sales trends and implement strategies to increase profitability and reduce costs Ensure compliance with health department, OSHA, and company policies Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally Train staff on safety, operational procedures, and company policies Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on product delivery, pricing, and promotional activity Report directly to store manager and provide store performance updates Qualifications: 3+ years of grocery or retail store management experience (Asian supermarket preferred) Strong leadership and team-building skills Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays Fluency in English required; knowledge of an Asian language (Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, etc.) preferred Strong understanding of perishable inventory management and department operations Proficient in POS systems, Microsoft Excel, and inventory software Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses Health insurance options Paid vacation and holidays Career advancement opportunities in a growing company 401K Seniority level
