We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Application Developer to join our Enterprise Application Support team to provide test environment support for a large customer in the insurance domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mainframe development and support, with extensive batch, JCL, break-fix, and DB2 experience. This role will predominantly be supporting non-production environments, JCL maintenance, test data management, and executing and monitoring test batch. This team will work directly with the client's developer and test communities to support planned testing efforts in several batch and online environments. Primary Responsibilities
Prepare, run, and monitor test batch efforts in support of application teams Extract and load test data Participate in release management tasks Monitor test batch processes Provide first level testing support Coordinate test defect resolution with development teams and second level support Working hours will be 8 hours between 9am and 9pm IST, based on shift assigned. 24 X 6 on-call support rotation is required Kyndryl currently does not require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, however, if you are hired to work at a client, customer, or partner location, you may be required to show proof of vaccination to align with their respective COVID-19 vaccination policies. Required Technical and Professional Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work/practical experience). 3+ years of mainframe programming experience. Proficiency in COBOL programming in an IBM z/OS mainframe environment. Extensive expertise in Job Control Language (JCL). Knowledge of mainframe technologies, including CICS, VSAM, and DB2. Test Support experience, including batch and online support, and break-fix support. Familiarity using mainframe tools, including TSO, ISPF, SDSF, and IZWS Scheduler. Development lifecycle experience, from Developing to System Test to UAT to Production. Skills and Competences Required
JCL, COBOL, DB2/SQL, EASYTRIEVE, CICS, MQ, IZWS (IBM Z Workload Scheduler), RDX (Relational data extraction), JOBTRAC. Take full responsibility for Test batch. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Accountability in actions. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines. Understanding user needs and considering their experiences when developing software. Preferred Skills

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $88,680 to $168,480 based on a full-time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills, and experience. For part-time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city, or local minimum wage requirement. There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations: California: $97,560 to $202,200 Colorado: $88,680 to $168,480 New York City: $106,440 to $202,200 Washington: $97,560 to $185,280 Washington DC: $97,560 to $185,280 This position will be eligible for Kyndryl's discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl's applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
