Warehouse Team Lead
Ryder is immediately hiring a Warehouse Team Lead in Elwood, Illinois. Warehouse positions pay weekly with an hourly rate of $21/hour. The schedule is Monday-Friday from 9am to 5:30pm. Various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles at Ryder support distribution across the US. We want the right Warehouse Associate to join us at Ryder and work in the safest supply chain environment with state of the art equipment. Products being handled include food products and equipment such as reach trucks and stand up forklifts. We have all benefits other warehouse distribution facilities offer without the wait! Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, one year or more powered industrial truck experience, one year or more previous experience as a team lead, one year or more Microsoft Office experience, one year or more previous warehouse experience, knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner, a valid forklift operator's license, strong verbal and written communication skills, effective leadership skills, flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment, ability to work independently and as a member of a team, and excellent organizational skills. Responsibilities include leading and ensuring continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of operations, performing warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting, allocating resources and distributing daily work duties to team members, inspiring and guiding team members towards improved KPIs, assisting in providing orientation for employees, promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse, dealing with day to day paperwork, and completing and submitting daily reports.
