Huber Advanced Materials, a division of J.M. Huber Corporation, specializes in delivering high-quality specialty materials tailored for diverse industries. This unit is dedicated to the development and production of engineered materials, including mineral-based fire retardant and smoke suppression additives, as well as performance-enhancing additives. Our innovative products serve a wide range of sectors, such as plastics, paints and coatings, adhesives, and construction materials. The Application Development & Technical Services (AD/TS) Manager at Huber Advanced Materials will spearhead customer-facing technical initiatives, focusing on establishing robust technical relationships with clients. This role involves identifying and addressing their unique technical challenges by delivering customized solutions that add significant value. Successful candidates will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including market directors, sales personnel, and R&D units, ensuring alignment of AD/TS efforts with business objectives and responsiveness to market needs. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in facilitating cultural transformation as the company transitions to a solutions-oriented provider in both established and emerging markets. Additionally, they will advocate for the Huber Vision and Principles, prioritizing the development of professional and leadership skills across all business units. Customer Engagement:

Lead a team that serve as the primary technical contact for customers, addressing inquiries related to product applications, performance, and specifications. Understand and analyze customer needs and provide tailored solutions. Technical Support & Product Development:

Assist customers in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with our products in their applications. Conduct product trials and evaluations in collaboration with customers to demonstrate product efficacy. Collaboration for Market Driven Innovation:

Collaborate with R&D, product management & operations teams to relay customer feedback and contribute to product development and enhancements. Industry Trend Monitoring:

Continuously monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify potential opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage. Product Communication:

Develop and deliver technical training for customers and internal staff on product usage and best practices. Create informational materials and presentations to communicate technical information effectively. Documentation and Reporting:

Prepare detailed customer & technical documentation, including reports on product performance and application notes. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and technical solutions provided. Continuous Improvement Culture:

Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the R&D department, encouraging team members to seek out new methods and approaches. Risk-Taking and Experimentation:

Educational Background

: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science). Experience

:A minimum of 15 years of experience in product development & technical service activities in the specialty chemicals additive space, including at least 10 years in a leadership role. Product Launch Expertise

:Demonstrated success developing & launching new products, showcasing a strong market impact. Project Management Proficiency

Any offered salary is determined based on relevant factors such as an applicant's skills, performance, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications and market considerations. U.S. Market-Based Salary Range Application Development & Technical Support Manager, Americas [$119,200.00 -$154,800.00] In addition to base compensation, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and profit-sharing payout.
