Job Summary: The Head of Finance for Claims will be a strategic partner to the Claims leadership team, overseeing all financial aspects of the function. This role will drive financial planning and performance management while leading transformation initiatives to optimize processes, strengthen controls, and enhance reporting capabilities. Candidates should excel in dynamic environments and bring significant experience in insurance finance, particularly supporting claims or operational units. Job Description Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting for the Claims function Deliver executive-level insights, dashboards, and variance analysis to support decision-making Partner with leadership to evaluate KPI performance metrics and cost drivers, identifying opportunities for operational and financial enhancement Manage monthly close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting in coordination with corporate finance teams Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to claims reserving methodologies Serve as finance lead on transformation projects, providing ROI modeling and long-range planning support Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, IT, Reinsurance, Underwriting, and Finance on process improvement and systems modernization efforts Influence stakeholders at all levels through strong communication and relationship-building skills Skills & Experience 8-12+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or controller-level role Strong background in property & casualty insurance with exposure to claims operations Expertise in claims reserve accounting, FP&A, financial modeling and regulatory reporting Proven track record supporting business transformation and technology implementations Proficient with financial systems and data analytics tools (e.g., Workday, Power BI, Tableau) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred
