Scope of Role
ITRS is looking for an experienced and accomplished DevOps/Platform Engineer to join our collaborative and inclusive team. Reporting to our Engineering Manager, you will work 2 days per week in either our New York or Chicago office. The ITRS engineering teams are building a next-generation observability platform capable of collecting, storing, and analyzing large volumes of data generated by banks and financial institutions.
We are offering a salary band of $130,000 - $170,000 per annum for this role.
As a DevOps / Platform Engineer, you will:
Collaborate with the Engineering team to develop and evolve infrastructure supporting the deployment and delivery of our product suite: Geneos, Opsview, & ITRS Analytics. Work with Product, Engineering, Tech Communications, and Support teams to define, document, and promote best practices around deployment and system management. Assist clients and early adopters with deploying the stack. Enhance the manageability and supportability of the stack, including working with Product to define new features for easier management. Requirements 5+ years of DevOps experience. Solid Linux system administration skills and shell scripting experience. Understanding of networking and TCP/IP. Knowledge of systems and network security best practices. Experience with Kubernetes and container technologies like Docker. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. Proficiency with version control systems like Git. Programming experience in Python, Java, or .NET. Experience with virtualization technologies like VMWare and ESXi. Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins. Desirable: Managing Kubernetes production environments, Configuration as Code (GitOps), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), configuration tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef.
