Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid, 3 days onsite) Position Summary: Grand Circle’s General Ledger team is seeking a Staff Accountant who can think critically, roll up their sleeves and is excited to revamp processes. You will be responsible for ensuring monthly accounting entries are complete, accurate, and in compliance with GAAP. Responsibilities: For both the travel company and the Grand Circle Foundation: · Reconcile daily cash activity and prepare all necessary entries for the corporate bank accounts · Reconcile bank accounts monthly · Maintain the fixed asset subledger, including recording additions, disposals and depreciation · Prepare journal entries, analysis and reconciliations of balance sheet and P&L accounts in accordance with GAAP · Work within the accounting team to standardize practices and procedures · Interact cross functionally to gather all relevant accounting and financial data to ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting · Assist with preparation for and facilitation of the audit process Requirements: · 1-3 years of accounting or finance experience · Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams · Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to think critically · Strong attention to detail, organizational ability, and a history of meeting deadlines · Bachelor's degree in Accounting 50% Discount on GCC trips Robust healthcare benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and flex spending accounts Generous Paid time off (PTO) Paid holidays throughout the year Company-paid life insurance Paid short and long term disability insurance 401K Retirement Savings account Discounted auto and renters insurance Volunteer and philanthropy opportunities to give back in Boston and where we travel
