Northeast Delta Human Services Authority is seeking a
Social Worker 5-A
to serve as sole social worker of a facility having full managerial responsibility over a facility's social services program. In this role you will act as a consultant on social work matters to other professionals, administrators, psychologists, occupational therapist, medical director, residential care and training directors.

Minimum Qualifications Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) plus:
A master's degree in social work followed by four years of social services experience.

Job Duties:
Assesses and evaluates social work program effectiveness through quality control activities and statistical analysis. Monitors outcomes of treatment interventions recommended by interdisciplinary teams and reviews cases through a formal quality assurance program to evaluate service accountability, record completeness, service outcome or need for further clinical review. Provides psychosocial evaluation aimed at identifying the special problems and needs manifested in specific high risk populations, such as abused children and adults, Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome, neurological trauma or disease, acute and chronic psychiatric diagnoses, abusive parents, and offenders. Attends in-service staff training and completes required training promptly, as well as participates in community and marketing/networking events. Prepares required social work reports such as assessments, case summaries, social histories and counseling reports, progress reports, discharge plans or summaries. Provides expert testimony and advocacy representation on behalf of clients in court cases. Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type:
Probational, Promotional, Demotion, Lateral Transfer, or Detail to Special Duty
Compensation:
NEDHSA is a designated approved National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site. Clinicians who work at NHSC-approved sites are eligible to apply to the NHSC Loan Repayment Program to pay off student loans.
2-year Full-Time Clinical Practice: NHSC will pay up to $50,000* for an initial 2 years of full-time clinical practice to clinicians. (Full-time clinical practice is defined as no less than 40 hours per week, for a minimum of 45 weeks per year.) Louisiana is a State As a Model Employer (SAME) that supports the recruitment, hiring, and retention of individuals with disabilities.
