GENERAL FUNCTION:
Inspects incoming materials, molded and assembled parts and packaging for conformance to specifications by performing the following duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other related duties may be assigned. Inspects molded parts for cycle time, physical defects and critical measurements. Perform functional leak, fit, etc., tests. Verifies product complies with established quality standards. Release molds that comply with quality specifications. Rejects defective material, and marks type of defect on inspection tag. Inspects all labels for proper information and identification. Inspects assembled parts and packaged units, verifies product complies with established quality standards. Verifies the integrity of assembly – pull test, proper fitting – on assembled parts and the right combination of components. Inspects packaging to ensure packaging material used, printed information, process and production record is appropriate for the application. Implement corrective actions. Documents all decisions made, releases, incidences, re-work, and submit to Quality Control Department. Keeps immediate work area in a clean, orderly condition, wears required safety equipment, and observes all safety rules. Familiar with use and location of all safety equipment, fire exits, emergency procedures and fire extinguishers. Reports unsafe conditions immediately to supervisor.

Minimum Grade 10, and related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiar with various quality control procedures and related information; production processes and related equipment and testing techniques; regulatory policies. LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures. Ability to write reports, quality control inspection reports, business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, and customers. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs; ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
