Our challenge
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Java Developer with strong domain knowledge in fixed income particularly Municipal bonds and a solid foundation in software design and development. Candidate will play a key role in designing and implementing scalable, low-latency systems that support real-time pricing and risk analytics for front-office trading.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York, NY is $130k - $160k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications for pre-trade pricing and risk analytics. Collaborate with traders, quants, and fellow engineers to deliver robust and scalable solutions. Ensure high performance, reliability, and maintainability of the codebase. Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives. Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing. Requirements:
10+ years of professional experience in Java software development. Strong understanding of fixed income products, with a focus on Municipal bonds and broader credit markets. Experience with pre-trade analytics, pricing models, and risk calculations. Solid grasp of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices. Proficiency in SQL and experience with various database technologies. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills. We offer:
