Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for enzyme manufacturing operations both in microbial fermentations and downstream purification of biological products for in-house processes and contract manufacturing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS,
included but not limited to:
Perform operations regarding microbial cell production via fermentation. Perform operations regarding enzyme purification from microbial cells. Assist with inventory maintenance. Ordering of raw materials and supplies for the Enzyme Manufacturing Department. General cleaning and organization of the lab areas. Maintain clean and safe work area. OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures are implemented and followed. Assist with validation and implementation of new processes. Assist as needed in other areas of the company where training requirements have been completed. Perform other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma with 2 years of relevant work experience OR a relevant associates degree. Lab experience Experience working in a regulated industry (food grade, laboratory, etc.) Self-motivated. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiarity with cGMP manufacturing requirements. Mechanical aptitude. Familiarity with microbial fermentors, and or fermentation processes. Familiarity with downstream processing regarding biological products.
