Regional Equipment Operator Woodbine, MD Hourly / Full-Time About the Role: The Equipment Operator role is critical to the efficient and safe operation of heavy machinery within our West Henrietta, NY facility. The primary objective of this position is to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot various types of equipment to support production and construction activities. The operator will ensure that all machinery is used in compliance with safety regulations and company standards, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. This role requires close collaboration with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and maintain a smooth workflow. Ultimately, the Equipment Operator contributes to the overall success of the organization by ensuring that equipment is handled expertly and projects are completed on schedule. JOB SUMMARY: Performs various project work which requires safely operating vehicles and a variety of heavy/agricultural equipment that may include, but is not limited to; front-end loaders, skid steers, track-hoes, and bulldozers. Minimum Qualifications: Valid equipment operator certification or license relevant to the machinery being operated. Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in an industrial, construction, or manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret operational manuals, safety guidelines, and technical documents. Strong understanding of workplace safety standards and practices. Physical ability to perform manual labor and operate machinery for extended periods. Always operate equipment in a safe manner Perform loading, unloading, and timely delivery of material to assigned/approved destination. Serve as a company ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public. Conduct daily inspections and perform preventative maintenance on the equipment. Maintain operation records. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with multiple types of heavy equipment, including forklifts, backhoes, and cranes. Basic mechanical skills for minor repairs and troubleshooting. Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Previous experience working in a manufacturing or production facility. Completion of OSHA safety training or equivalent certifications. Communication skills – verbal and written. Ability to operate heavy or agricultural equipment safely. Ability to perform basic math. Mechanical and electrical aptitude Ability to follow directions. Responsibilities: Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts, loaders, excavators, and other equipment safely and efficiently according to operational guidelines. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to identify and address any mechanical issues promptly. Follow all safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment for self and coworkers.
