Position Summary:
Hiring Salary Range:
$43,888.00 to $48,276.80 depending on qualifications.
Provides assistance and support to assigned program(s) to coordinate program operations and to promote the activities of assigned programs(s).
Job Duties (Program Analyst / Gallery Education Coordinator): Provides direction and assistance in a variety of aspects to the assigned program (HCC Art Galleries). Responsibilities include but are not limited to: educational programming, docent tours, faculty engagement, management of students and volunteers, curation and exhibition preparation, event planning, public art initiatives, and supporting the maintenance of physical spaces. Conducts research/writing and maintains documentation (electronic or paper) of same. Assists students and other college employees in the related area. May involve conducting class tours of the galleries and facilitating permanent collection loans college-wide. May occasionally serve on internal and external committees. Manages student workers and volunteers, including task delegation, messaging, and scheduling. Maintains professional correspondence between various departments within the college as well as between the college and outside professionals. Supports gallery staff by occasionally creating engaging marketing materials to promote gallery programs and maintain marketing presence across various digital platforms. May involve graphic design, photography, videography, and other technical skills. Types, files, and maintains lists for assigned program. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
The position requires a Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in art, art history, or related fields is strongly preferred. Self-starter; self-motivated; can work independently or in a team as needed. Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills. Ability to complete physical tasks/labor. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), Social Media (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram), and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, PremierePro).
