Quality Technician & Rework Specialist -
Fridley, MN area Day Shift position (Monday-Friday, some weekends, holiday, and OT may be required) Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour (based off proven work history)
Scope of the Quality Technician & Rework Specialist role:
The ideal candidate chosen for this role will have experience evaluating automotive parts, using measurement devices (SPC gauges, calipers, feeler gauges, etc.). The person chosen for this role MUST be consistent, reliable, be mechanically inclined, able to work independently and have a willingness to be trained for this role.
Job Description of the Quality Technician & Rework Specialist:
Evaluate and disposition nonconforming materials in collaboration with the Quality Engineer Complete internal process and product audits, as scheduled. Measure components/products to verify conformance to specifications using measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, part specific gages, etc. Daily report of activities; delivery of replacement parts to customer plants and perform incoming inspection, as required. Record and retain supplier issues in the company's quality system, initiating supplier returns as required. Perform other required testing procedures. Support the comprehensive continuous (CI) improvement philosophy for all corporate disciplines. Participate in CI activities (e.g., process, nonconforming material, separating and recycling of nonconforming material) and activities designed to reduce the cost of poor quality (i.e. Kaizen, cross-functional task force teams, etc.). Containment and sorting activities, as applicable. Communicate quality-related information to Production Supervisors, Materials personnel, Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Managers. All other duties assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements of the Quality Technician & Rework Specialist:
Must have previous automotive quality experience Must be familiar with measurement devices such as SPC gauges, calipers, feeler gauges, etc. Previous Testing- Collecting Parts- Recording Data- Communicating Results experience Must be mechanically inclined Able to use hand tools for rework requirements High School Graduate or Equivalent Area of Study: General Studies Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions. MINIMUM 2-Years of experience required. Must have good communication skills Computer skills including basic Excel
