System Analyst/Technician

TelaForce, a Titan Technologies company, is seeking an experienced temporary System Analyst/Technician to maintain and support operational security and IT systems for our Port of Galveston customer. Duties and responsibilities include assisting with diagnosing computer problems, monitoring computer processing systems, installing software, performing tests on computer equipment and programs, and maintaining video surveillance, access control, and other electronic security systems/equipment. Perform routine technical security integration functions to support deployment of security engineering activities such as setup, operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of video surveillance and access control systems. Work from schematics, logic diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, plans, and specialized test equipment. Set up computer equipment, schedule maintenance, and teach clients to use programs as well as do minor computer repairs. Troubleshoot testing, align and adjust complete electronic and computer systems, equipment, or components. Perform system maintenance (preventative, repair, and upgrades) for client video management and access control systems. Assist with performing troubleshooting of client systems to determine the level of response required to resolve outages. Work directly with other staff members to develop solutions to client issues, maintain appropriate records. Required qualifications include three years' related experience in field installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and onsite operation and maintenance of electronic, electromechanical, and/or mechanical systems, subsystems, and components for software and data/communication networks. Experience with video surveillance or access control systems strongly desired. Ability to apply working technical knowledge to routine or complex tasks, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and performing activities such as taking test measurements, performing test/calibration procedures, observing results, and recording information for evaluation. Must possess strong knowledge of computers and how they operate, which include having a broad understanding of hardware and software, and operating systems. Familiarity with electronic equipment, Internet applications, and security. Excellent communication skills. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC). Must be able to obtain Flir Certified Technician Certification. Must be able to register as an Electronic Access Control Device Installer with Texas DPS. Must be able to complete Level 4 Criminal Justice Information System course. Must be proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office 365 applications. Preferred qualifications include strong teamwork, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills. Strong documentation and communication skills. Proficiency in using software packages. Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project desirable.
