Understand and evaluate networking feature requirements, networking feature specifications, marketing requirements, and software design specifications documents to develop and automate feature test plans for Juniper's operating systems based on customer use cases. Review and analyze MRD (Market Requirement Document) for a feature and understand the requirements, technologies, and products under test. Research RFCs to understand industry standards around the feature and relate it to customer deployment scenarios. Review and provide feedback on functional and design specifications submitted by development teams, by verifying feature requirements as per the goals specified in the MRD and industry standards. Design, develop and execute test plans for networking features, equipment and systems that covers functional, scale and performance, system, hardware and software compatibility, and high availability and system reliability testing. Design effective test environments, test strategy, and network topologies (end-user network models) and deploy the same using Juniper's hardware routers, switches, or virtualization hardware. Validate software releases by executing the test cases as per the protocol feature test plan and authoring software functional defects using JIRA based internal reporting tool. Perform the automation of test plans and software defects with Python, Perl, and Robot scripting languages. Write programmable API applications for our routing software using Python and Google's RPC (GRPC) to provide flexibility to end-users to override default routing mechanism for BGP, PRPD, cRPD and static routing protocols.
