BUYER/PURCHASING AGENT - CARROLLTON, TX
The primary responsibility of a Buyer/Purchasing Agent is to ensure a sufficient supply of third-party goods and quality of required materials at the best price possible, on time from various qualified suppliers in accordance with MRP demand. The focus is on quality, material availability, inventory investment, and pricing using ERP, but must have familiarity with AI-driven tools and have a strong background in process improvement & development. WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Responsible for reviewing and interpreting MRP demand weekly/daily, identifying item movements and other requirements to determine purchase needs, cutting POs (purchase orders), reviewing PO (purchase order) confirmations, change orders, expedites, tracking orders when applicable, and any other tasks to ensure timely and in-full delivery. Leverage AI-powered analytics and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) to forecast demand, optimize inventory levels, and monitor supplier performance. Accountable for purchasing products using only fully approved (Corporate) suppliers and following corporate contracts. Handle all credits and non-conforming returns promptly with replacement or financial correction to minimize loss in conjunction with the AP & Quality support teams. Review inventory regularly with the Procurement Manager, with a focus on more critical/sensitive material items. Direct liaison with site planning, manufacturing operations, quality, and AP regularly. Actively manage transactional supplier relationships. Expedite part shortages; run shortage reports to review, revise, and schedule supplier orders when necessary. Accountable to understand the actual receipt price vs. PPV. Partners directly with the local Production Planning team to understand schedules. Build and maintain credibility with internal business stakeholders to ensure Procurement engagement on operations, financial, and technical business needs. Responsible for participating in supporting the Procurement team's goals. Responsible for communicating transportation requirements to appropriate transportation providers when needed. Manage PO releases in accordance with Blanket Orders established within Deacom and with guidance from Procurement leadership. Support internal Teasdale teams as applicable when assigned by the Purchasing Manager. WHAT YOU'LL LEVERAGE:

Accredited 4-year college degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, Finance, or other related field, or possess a minimum of 4 years' experience as a Buyer or Purchasing Agent of direct material goods supporting manufacturing/production operations Advanced working knowledge and experience with MRP/ERP systems Proven expertise in using AI-driven tools for procurement analytics and forecasting Must be a problem solver and trouble shooter Customer/stakeholder focused, able to collaborate and influence others to drive actions to meet business needs while maintaining a positive, professional outlook Ability to deal effectively with pressure, multiple tasks, deadlines, and rapidly changing priorities Strong verbal and written communication skills with requisite interpersonal skills to partner, collaborate, and build relationships with business partners, suppliers, and regional teams Experience working for CPG or a Food & Beverage manufacturing environment is a plus Are you passionate about making a difference every single day, being a part of a growing team, and transforming your job into a career?
