Summary

We're looking for a Senior UX Researcher to join our team of experienced product/human factors researchers to help shape the future of our software products across laptops and tablets. In this role, you'll be instrumental in understanding user needs and behaviors, primarily focusing on evaluating new concepts, beta features, and launched functionalities. You'll also contribute to foundational research, detailing key use cases to inform our product development.

The ideal candidate is a mixed-methods expert, adept at employing both qualitative and quantitative approaches to gather insightful data, as well as translating complex research findings into clear, actionable recommendations for product managers, designers, and engineers.

Responsibilities Design and execute comprehensive research studies to evaluate the usability and effectiveness of new concepts, beta features, and launched products. Conduct foundational research to identify and articulate detailed user behaviors and use cases on laptops and tablets. Employ a diverse range of qualitative methods (e.g., in-depth interviews, usability testing, field studies, in-lab testing with human subjects) and quantitative methods (e.g., survey development, A/B testing analysis) to gather data and triangulate findings. Analyze research data, identify key themes, and synthesize findings into clear, concise, and actionable insights that impact products for the end user. Present research findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams and stakeholders through compelling reports and presentations. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to ensure research insights are integrated into the product development lifecycle. Advocate for the user throughout the product development process, championing user-centered design principles. Qualifications:

PhD degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Human Factors or a related field Experience:

5+ years of experience in UX research in industry, preferably within a software or technology company (7+ years or experience if no graduate degree) Proven expertise in designing and conducting both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. A strong portfolio demonstrating your research process, impact, and deliverables. Skills:

Proven experience leading hands-on complex research studies involving rigorous methodologies, performing data analysis and synthesis, and report preparation.. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), including a proven track record of communicating research results for various audiences (e.g., designers, engineers, product managers). Resourceful: identifies the needs for a project to be successful, and autonomously performs the steps required to acquire tools and methods to achieve success, including reaching out and developing professional relationships with stakeholders and other experts. Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
