Role - Java Full Stack Developer & Informatica (Senior) Statewide Agile Resources and Teams 2024-Labor Category - Applications Development Expert

Position Description:

The Applications Development Expert provides design recommendations based on long-term IT organization strategy. The position shall use a variety of platforms to provide automated systems applications to customers. This individual will be viewed both internally and externally as a technical expert and critical technical resource across multiple disciplines. His/her responsibilities include performing the following tasks: . Developing enterprise level application and custom integration solutions including major enhancements and interfaces, functions and features; B

. Providing expertise regarding the integration of applications across the business; C

. Determining specifications, then plans, designs, and developing the most complex and business critical software solutions, utilizing appropriate software engineering processes (either individually or in concert with a project team); D

. Assisting in the most difficult support problems; E

. Developing programming and development standards and procedures as well as programming architectures for code reuse; F

. Understanding and consistently applying the attributes and processes of current application development methodologies; G

. Researching and maintaining knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application to the business; and H.

Acting as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor and change agent. I

. Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, secure interfaces and data integration solutions using Java (Spring Boot) and Informatica PowerCenter/Cloud within the Worker Portal ecosystem. J

. Architect and implement full-stack solutions involving Angular frontend, Java backend services, and PostgreSQL Aurora databases on AWS. K.

Drive the development of robust ETL/ELT workflows and data pipelines using Informatica, ensuring high data quality, performance, and fault tolerance. L

. Collaborate closely with business analysts, data architects, and cross-functional engineering teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs. M

. Mentor and lead a team of developers, providing guidance on best practices in coding, testing, deployment, and documentation. N.

Develop and enforce coding standards, CI/CD practices, and automated testing frameworks for interface and integration layers. O

. Optimize data flow between applications and reporting tools (e.g., QuickSight, Qlik) through well-designed APIs and data services. P. Ensure compliance with security standards and data governance policies relevant to the environment. Q

. Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and technical design discussions. Education:

This position requires a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent work experience. (Note: A Master's degree is preferred.) General Experience:

The proposed candidate must have at least seven (7) years of IT and business/industry work experience. Specialized Experience:

The proposed candidate must have at least three (3) years as a technical expert in an IT organization. This individual coaches and mentors the junior technical staff. The position will also provide technical input into the most complex and high impact IT decisions. This individual will be accountable for the most complex enterprise-wide applications and issues, translating highly complex concepts for peers and customers. The position must have in-depth knowledge of state-of-the art programming languages and object-oriented approach in designing, coding, testing and debugging programs.

The Java Full Stack Developer & Informatica Tech Lead (Senior) provides technical leadership and hands-on expertise in designing, developing, integrating, and supporting modern enterprise applications and data interfaces. The role combines Java-based web application development with complex ETL/data pipeline integration using Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica Cloud. This role serves as the lead for full-stack development and interface/integration components, collaborating with engineering, analytics, DevOps, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, maintainable, and scalable solutions across both operational and data domains.

7+ years of professional experience in Java Full Stack development, including hands-on experience with Spring Boot and modern frontend frameworks like Angular. 5+ years of experience designing and implementing data integration workflows using Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica Cloud, or equivalent ETL tools. Proven leadership experience guiding development teams in Agile environments. Strong experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL Aurora on AWS. Solid understanding of RESTful API design and implementation. Proficiency with AWS ecosystem services and deployment strategies.
