Our client is a global leader in specialized diagnostics and life sciences technologies. They are currently seeking a

Warehouse and Material Specialist

for their Orangeburg, NY location. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity offering stability, growth potential, and the chance to work in a clean, fast-paced, and highly regulated environment. Ideal candidates will bring hands-on warehouse experience and attention to detail. Responsibilities

Receive and inspect incoming materials and process outbound shipments

Perform accurate data entry of transactions using inventory systems (SAP preferred)

Pick, pack, and process orders for internal and external customers

Conduct daily cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy

Maintain general cleanliness and organization within the warehouse

Demonstrate thorough knowledge of primary warehouse functions (distribution or manufacturing)

Serve as backup in non-primary warehouse responsibilities as needed

Perform other duties as assigned by the warehouse manager

Requirements

At least 2 years of warehouse or logistics experience

SAP or ERP system experience preferred

High school diploma or equivalent required

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in material handling

Physically able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods

Familiarity with warehouse best practices, including shipping/receiving and inventory control
