Imaging Technical Assistant - MRI

The Imaging Technical Assistant - MRI supports the MRI Department. Primarily responsibilities include administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, retrieving scans, scan and transfer reports and images, and communicating directly with patients and their parents/legal guardians. Additional duties may be assigned and/or requested. In addition, the Imaging Technical Assistant - MRI will be instrumental in partnering with the MRI Technologist in day-to-day responsibilities. This includes insuring patient exams have clear signed orders prior to scheduling, taking patients' medical history, escorting patients with parent/legal guardians (as appropriate), and positioning patients in the MRI scanner. This position works closely with other departments (Emergency Department, Med Surg/ICU, Clinics, etc.) with miscellaneous tasks and services to ensure we are providing our patients with highest-quality, family-centered care. Location: On-site (MPS or SP) License/Certification/Registration required? No Education: High school diploma or equivalent, required Experience: Imaging experience in MRI, preferred; Radiology student or Nursing Assistant, preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrates understanding of age-related development of pediatrics; Ability to work in a high pace environment; Possess strong communication skills- written and verbally; Working knowledge of all MRI procedures and safety-related issues; Computer literacy; Comfortable multi-tasking The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
