Lockheed Martin is actively seeking an early career Linux administrator to support our Space business area unclassified and classified programs located in our Cape Canaveral, Florida, US offices. Primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, installing, configuring, securing, hardening, remediating, troubleshooting, testing, upgrading, and decommissioning of data center equipment, network switches, virtual servers, physical servers, client workstations and network-attached storage equipment. Application support to program engineers is an essential part of the day-to-day responsibilities that ensures a successful synergy between program deliverables and the underlying IT infrastructure. The selected candidate will be responsible for the ongoing operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of multiple business applications that are hosted on the Linux systems. This is a non-telecommuting position that requires you to be on-site full time and includes some off-shift work with occasional weekend activities. Bachelor degree from accredited University and/or equivalent related experience. This position requires the ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance, and maintain it throughout the life span of the position. This position requires the ability to obtain a current DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or III certification (i.e., Security+, CASP, CISSP), within the first three months of employment, and maintain it throughout the life span of the position. US Citizenship required for access to the work facility. Hand-on experience with at least one Linux distribution. Ability to move, rack, stack and install physical equipment by lifting up to 40 lbs. Bachelor of Science degree from accredited University. Active DOD Secret clearance (investigation within 5 years or CV enrolled). Fundamental understanding of the OSI model. Current DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or III certification (i.e., Security+, CASP, CISSP). Ubuntu Linux Administration (system installation/configuration, Kickstart, KVM Virtualization, RHV/ovirt virtualization). Directory Services Administration (FreeIPA/RedHat IdM). Experience with Scripting and Automation (i.e., Ansible, Perl, Bash, Shell Scripting, etc.). Hands-on with Cloud Technologies (OpenStack, OpenShift, AWS, Azure). Knowledge of Directory Services (i.e., LDAP, Kerberos, TLS Certificates, DNS). Experience with vulnerability remediation and security management (i.e., system hardening, log management, configuration management (i.e., Nessus, McAfee, WSUS, SCCM, Ivanti, Shavlik, Blade Logic, Splunk, ACAS, SCAP, HBSS, etc.)). Experience with Network Protocols (i.e., IPv4 / IPv6 Routing, DHCP, Syslog, Tunneling protocols, packet analysis, etc.). Ability to demonstrate effectiveness in communications. Experience designing and presenting using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
