About the Department/Team:
The general role of the Senior Associate, Product Management is to work within Invesco's Private Markets Product Management team with primary responsibility for coverage of Private Markets product offerings for the US retail market. The primary focus in the immediate term will be supporting the distribution / marketing for Invesco Real Estate's Non-Traded REIT ("INREIT"), Invesco Real Estate's Private REIT ("INCREF") and Invesco's 1031 Exchange Program ("IREX").
The role requires exceptional skills and creativity in communications, relationship building, and analytics, as well as a passion for the investment management industry, products, competition, and the capital markets.
Responsibilities of the Role:
Have experience with non-listed REITs and Real Estate as an asset class - understand key aspects of the product, including pricing, structures, strategy, history, stage of life cycle, strengths & weaknesses, client exposures and sales trends, etc.
Know the competitive landscape/peer group; stay current on market trends and competitive developments. Be able to clearly articulate what differentiates our products from the competition
Provide regular updates and product content such as commentaries, competitive positioning, RFPs/RFIs/DDQs, market reports, and portfolio reports
Utilize performance and risk analysis tools to clearly articulate drivers of performance, portfolio positioning and the current market environment
Cultivate excellent relationships with investment teams, Client Portfolio Managers and other departments: Sales, Marketing, Product teams, Compliance, Legal, etc.
Have a business owner's mindset - maintain a plan to support key products and act as a primary contact for product-specific requests, providing consistent, efficient product support via a single point of contact
Work with the investment teams to support them in any sales/client relationship activities including presentations and other materials
Create actionable, value-added insights on products, along with competitive and market opportunities, to our client-facing teams
Help to maintain a stable of great marketing materials in conjunction with Marketing to support assigned products
Provide Sales with product expertise for client opportunities, and participate as needed in direct client-facing meetings
Longer term will allow for launch of new products, including product positioning, marketing materials and sales training
Requirements for the Role:
3-5 years of experience in the financial services industry focusing on product management or related experience on investment products
Experience with real estate or real estate products is preferred
Series 7, Series 65, CFA, or CAIA interest, progress, or completion is a positive but not a requirement for the position
Understanding of financial markets, investment concepts and styles, including of alternative investments
Proactive self-starter mentality
Exhibit eagerness to learn and grow
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with both internal and external contacts.
Must be organized and detail-oriented and demonstrate a high level of professionalism
Must work well both independently, and as a team member, and be able to manage time under tight deadlines.
Well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint.
The total compensation offered for this position, which includes salary and incentive pay, will vary based on skills, experience and location. The salary range for this position in New York City is $125,000 to $135,000 annually.
