We are recruiting for a Human Resources Coordinator to join a growing organization based in Thousand Oaks, CA. This position will report to a Head of People and Culture and will be responsible for employee onboarding, I-9 verification, leave of absence management and assisting with workers compensation and benefits administration. Pay:$65,000 and 100% onsite.

The qualified candidate will have at least 2-3 years' of well-rounded Human Resources experience and previous experience working in ADP HRIS system is required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Facilitate and conduct new employee orientation to ensure a smooth introduction to company policies, procedures, culture, and work expectations. Act as a point of contact for new hires, answering questions and providing guidance during the onboarding process. Coordinate the onboarding process, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner. Administer I-9 verification for all new hires, ensuring compliance with federal regulations regarding work authorization. Assist employees with the benefits enrollment process, providing guidance on available options such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks. Manage and update benefits data in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) to reflect employee selections and status changes. Oversee the administration of various leave programs (e.g., FMLA, short-term disability, personal leave) ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies. Coordinate with employees and management to monitor leave requests, maintain documentation, and track return-to-work dates. Support workers' compensation claims by gathering and processing necessary documentation, including incident reports and medical records. Track and monitor claims to ensure compliance with company policies and relevant laws, while providing support to employees throughout the process. Assist with various HR administrative tasks such as maintaining employee records, preparing reports, and supporting HR projects. Provide general administrative support for HR department activities, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and handling inquiries. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

At least 2-3 years of Human Resources experience. ADP experience required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred. Capable of managing diverse personalities and projecting care and professionalism in all work-related situations. Competence in organizational and time management skills. Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and HRIS software. Ability to work independently.
