INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TECHNICIAN
Bridgewater College is seeking an Information Technology Technician to manage all aspects of tier two support for faculty, staff, and students, including, but not limited to, HelpDesk tickets, walk-in and phone support on personal devices as well as campus-managed devices running Windows, iPadOS or MacOS. Troubleshoot and assist in classroom AV repair/installs.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the upkeep, inventory, and deployment of all college-owned end-user equipment including but not limited to printers, desktops, laptops running Windows or MacOS as well as a small iPad fleet. Support the HelpDesk in the day-to-day handling of phone and ticketing traffic. Evaluate new products or services and suggest changes to existing products or services to better aid the department and our end users. QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred. Effective interpersonal, collegial, verbal, and written skills essential; customer service focus essential; ability to work well both independently and as part of a team; comfort with details and change required. Proficient in MS Office suite, mobile devices, Windows as well as Mac OS to provide support to faculty/staff and students required. Experienced with managing a large number of end user devices throughout the device life cycle including but not limited to OS management including orchestrating the creation of new operating system image, deployment of operating systems and regular patching of operating systems preferred. Experienced with deployment of software from applications on a small number of systems to mass deploying applications to all managed systems via industry standard management tools preferred. Understanding of networking concepts including DHCP, DNS, PXE, WPA2 Enterprise and VLANs required. Ability to communicate effectively with people of varying levels of computer literacy required. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic. Strong teamwork, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills are required.
Pay is competitive, and salary is commensurate with experience. This full-time position offers a full benefits package, including paid tuition at the College for eligible dependents.

Located in the scenic Shenandoah Valley, just minutes outside of Harrisonburg and within driving distance of Charlottesville, Washington D.C., and Richmond, Bridgewater is home to a total student body of approximately 1,450 from 27 states and 19 countries. Bridgewater students study more than 60 majors and minors, in addition to four graduate programs and 10 pre-professional programs. Bridgewater College is an NCAA DIII school with approximately 40 percent of its students participating in intercollegiate athletics on 25 teams.
