Job Description Description: NOTE: This position requires one to remain on site overnight during scheduled “on-call” shifts in provided on-mountain dorm style housing. Candidates must have the drive and ability to motivate through a variety of challenges: early mornings, split shifts, deep snow, sick coverage, etc. Seasonal Hours: Seasonal Variable Hour Assistant Supervisor: Hours for this seasonal position are variable depending on snowfall, weather, and the general pace of business and customers. Hours average 25-35 per week with 3-4 days of work. General
Responsibilities/Requirements Observe the Employee Lodge facility and residents and enforce housing policies as trained Communicate with cooks within the kitchen as trained Complete routine cleaning and maintenance tasks as trained Aid in cat care (feeding and litter cleaning) Perform work duties as trained without direct supervision Monitor inventory and assist on delivery days Serve as primary contact for E-Lodgers and for other on-mountain activities taking place during and outside normal operation hours Assist in response to emergencies during and outside of normal operation hours as trained Communicate with housing team and other mountain staff when needed Help facilitate and participate in a positive and inclusive workplace Have a working knowledge of Mt. Baker Ski Area mountain policies and procedures, ski area facilities and services, and safe food handling practices and management Opportunity for future growth within the company On-Mountain Dorm Living (Required for this Position) You must remain on site the night before and between each shift Dormitory-style housing accommodations are provided at no additional cost. Hourly Wage Rate begins at $18.06/hour DOE with increases for experience, merit, and tenure possible Requirements:
Qualifications: 21 years or older Have or obtain upon employment a CPR and AED certification Have or obtain upon employment a current Washington State Food Handler’s certification Previous kitchen experience preferred Willingness to learn and be flexible Able to work as an individual or as a team with minimal supervision General Physical Requirements Bending, twisting, lifting and moving items throughout the day Ability to lift and move 50 pounds (or more depending on task) Standing and or sitting for long periods Climbing and descending stairs Shoveling and moving snow Standing and walking on compact snow and ice Perform repetitive tasks as necessary
