, you will orchestrate every movement of hardware, spares, and support equipment for
Major Release 2 (FY 2527)
-from factory floor to Integration SIL to operational aircraft. Your supplychain strategies, sparing models, and sustainment plans will ensure PG kits arrive on time, on cost, and missionready.
Essential Job Functions:
Integrated Product Support (IPS) Lead Own all 12 DoD IPS elements for PG MR 2, with emphasis on Supply Support, Maintenance Planning, Packaging/Handling/Storage/Transportation (PHS&T), and Technical Data. • Chair the Logistics Working Group; synchronize activities across Nomad, Smith, Watch IPTs and platform SPOs. SupplyChain & Sparing Strategy
Develop demand forecasts and optimal sparing levels for 10+ PG kits and linereplaceable units (LRUs) using COSSI/ReadinessBased Sparing (RBS) models. • Manage procurement of BOM items-VPX cards, Type1 crypto, SATCOM apertures-ensuring obsolescence mitigation and cybersecurity supplychain risk management (CSCRM) compliance. Lifecycle Sustainment Planning
Author and maintain the
LifeCycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP)
; align with AFI 63101/20101 and Weapon System Sustainment (WSS) metrics. • Establish depotlevel repair strategies, warranty provisions, and PerformanceBased Logistics (PBL) options. Transportation & Fielding Execution
Oversee PHS&T requirements for CONUS/OCONUS shipment of classified hardware; coordinate with Air Force logistics readiness squadrons and Defense Transportation System nodes. • Track kit movements in a digital assetvisibility system; resolve customs, hazmat, and airlift issues rapidly. Configuration & Data Management
Ensure serialized part tracking and asbuilt records flow into the government Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system. • Control Tech Orders (T.O.s), Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs), and sustainment dashboards for field users and Watch helpdesk. Risk, Cost & Performance Reporting
Maintain logistics risk register, ShouldCost estimates, and Sustainment Key Performance Parameters (KPPs); brief senior USAF leadership quarterly. • Drive correctiveaction plans for DMI, missionabort, and Mean Down Time (MDT) trends. Team Leadership & Mentorship
Lead a multifunctional logistics staff (supply, transportation, provisioning, data management), mentor junior logisticians in DoD sustainment best practices.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
B.A./B.S. in Logistics, SupplyChain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field (M.S./MBA preferred) and
15 + years
managing DoD weaponsystem logistics, including initial provisioning and sustainment; at least 5 years at program or enterpriselevel leadership.
Active
TS/SCI
clearance.
Deep expertise with DoD IPS, LCSP development, FAR/DFARS acquisition logistics, and MILSTD PHS&T requirements.
Proven track record shipping and sustaining classified / ITARcontrolled avionics or C4ISR hardware worldwide.
Familiarity with ERP / PLM tools (SAP, Oracle, Windchill) and supplychain analytics (RBS, LORA, OPUS).
Desired Skills:
DAU LifeCycle Logistics Level III or
DoDcertified LCL
credential; APICS CPIM/CSCP or SOLE CPL.
Experience supporting airborne C4ISR or ABMS/CJADC2 programs.
Working knowledge of Type1 crypto handling, DoD cyber supplychain risk frameworks, and Counterfeit Parts Avoidance.
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent continuousimprovement certification.
Familiarity with Digital Engineering environments and Item Unique Identification (IUID) tagging.
