Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00/hour PM Shift, 11:00AM to 7:30PM, Wednesdays and Thursdays off Acacia Creek Retirement Community, located on the hills above Union City, is looking for a Cook II to join our team. with the security of knowing that quality assistance is available. Opportunity: Prepares and produces nutritious, well-balanced meals according to a current federal state. Local standards, guidelines, and regulations established policies and procedures to ensure quality food service is always provided. Essential Functions: Prepares foods promptly, by sanitary regulations, planned menus, and established policies and procedures. Develops and maintains a good working rapport with inter-department personnel to assure that food service is adequately held to meet the needs of the residents. Handles, stores, and properly rotate foods and supplies. Assures that the food production area and equipment are in good condition, adequately sanitized, and free of safety hazards. Supervises the serving of meals and ensures the food is at the proper temperature, adequately styled, palatable and appetizing in appearance. Handles leftover foods by adequately storing, wrapping, labeling, and dating or properly following up to ensure usage or disposal. Prepares food for therapeutic diets by planned menus, standardized recipes, and special diet orders. Consults with Director of Dining Services or Chef regarding food production and carries out other duties assigned by Chef or Supervisors. Maintains a good working relationship with co-workers. Regular attendance. Team members will obtain and demonstrate knowledge of Successful Aging philosophies through Masterpiece Living education and training.
